Some 1,300 people attended a community meeting Wednesday about the Port of Los Angeles High School. Students, parents and others listened to upbeat updates as the public charter school enters its third year and prepares for 250 ninth graders this fall, bringing its enrollment to 600 students. After more than five years, Port of Los Angeles commissioners approved a contract to redevelop Cabrillo Marina. The controversial dry-stack storage site is off the drawing board, but the other planned improvements will be complete in about two years, according to Friday’s Daily Breeze story.
