Councilwoman Janice Hahn has officially entered this year’s Lt. Gov. race. Read the press release at

Local Republican Party leader and former Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council board member John Stammreich is running for state Senate, 28th District. Stammreich is challenging incumbent Jenny Oropeza (D-Redondo Beach) for the seat, which represents portions of San Pedro and other South Bay communities. Thanks so much! San Pedro will have a lot to gain when we elect new legislators who want our ports to become more competitive with those to the north and south of us.

The ports will also benefit when the restrictions on manufacturing in California are reduced to allow more exports possible.

Finally, neighborhood councils will gain when we fight Sacramento's taking of local revenues to balance its own bloated budget, and keep those funds in the local municipalities where it can do the most good.
